I am riding in to work listening to sports radio and I normally do and I hear….”With a Medal count of 110 the US wins the Olympics. The Chinese have a medal count of 100 with 51 gold.”

Now if the numbers were different this is what you would have heard…”The Chinese lead the over all medal count with 110 but the US with there 51 gold medals with the Olympics in over all scoring 346 to 330 for the Chinese”

How is this? Well in most competitions scoring is 5 for first or gold 3 points for second or silver and 1 point for third or bronze…or some variation of that.

So the actual scoring should be

USA 36g 38s 36b = 330 points
China 51g 21s 28b = 346 points

So you know what…the USA did not win the Olympics but they will spin it as if they did because they won the “Medal Count”.

This is the first Olympic loss by the US Team since the 1992 Olympics.

I’m not drinking the USA superiority kool-aid that they are trying to serve. The US has gotten lazy as a whole. The Olympics aren’t what they used to be…it used to be about pride and competition. Now it’s about greed and money…which is why I had zero interest this year. The true Olympics are over…they need a new name.

I love the show and I love Tyra….but the model selection over the past few cycles have been really bad.

Lets look at the final for for this cycle.

Fatima: She looks like a broke down Iman. Has bad skin and a ’stank’ attitude. She need to eat some sandwhiches, a pan of corn bread or something because she looks sick.

Whitney: She is just plain bad. She is definitely a pretty girl and IMO probably the prettiest girl left but she has the least modeling skill. It appears to me that Tyra is pushing extra hard to get a big girl into the finals.

Dominique: She has a very high opinion of herself. I think she looks too old to win this and only made it this far because she was the only one who was actually entertaining to watch on TV. There is one every year that is kept around for shock value and to keep the house from being completly boring…this year it was Dom.

Anya: She will probably win if Tyra doesn’t push the plus size chick through. She takes great pictures…but she can’t talk and is overly chipper. She is quite annoying and with the that damn near white hair she reminds me of those twins from the second Matrix.

So Tyra…lets take a break for about a year and then resume. Your show is getting watered down.
